Grand Tour Location

The Relais Grand Tour and the Grand Tour Suites are situated in the same building in the heart of the historic center of Florence, in Via Santa Reparata 21, near the Accademia Museum where it’s possible to admire the David and other masterpieces by Michelangelo.

The Cathedral (Duomo) is only 5 minutes on foot, and the Uffizi Gallery is about 12 – 15 minutes.

The very famous San Lorenzo Market, with its kiosks of clothing and the large indoor food market is only two blocks away, and represents the most lively area of the town, abundant with small, characteristic restaurants where the Florentines, lovers of good traditional food, go. In the same area, only 5 minutes on foot from the Grand Tour, it’s possible to visit the church of San Lorenzo and the Medici Chapels.

Boutiques like Armani, Prada, Gucci, D&G, and Valentino, are less than 15 minutes away between the Cathedral and the magnificent Piazza della Signoria, which is next to the Uffizi Gallery.

The Ponte Vecchio offers a romantic view of the city from the river, and you only have to cross it to see the Pitti Palace and its Boboli Gardens, besides the splendid church of the Carmine and the Brancacci Chapel.

Florence’s train station, Santa Maria Novella and the Fortezza da Basso are less than 10 minutes away on foot.

The airport Amerigo Vespucci is 10 km away (about 15-20 minutes by taxi for a cost of about Euro 25.00). For guests arriving in the center by car, there’s a garage situated at about 40 meters from the Grand Tour. (Garage Sant’Orsola, tel. 055-281893).

There is a bike rental store on a street nearby. A market, supermarket, pharmacies, post office, bus, and taxi stand are less than 5 minutes away on foot.
