Romantic B&B in Florence

Relais Grand Tour

Our B&B is located along a quiet street within the historical center of Florence. The location is perfect if you want to see Michelangelo´s David, visit the Uffizi Gallery, the Palazzo Pitti or the Cathedral of Florence, and many other famous sights. Besides many wonderful museums, galleries, and shops of all sizes, you can find also amazing restaurants just a short walk from us. This city's unique history of famous artists calls out to you at every turn.

I first visited Florence when I was a young woman and fell in love with it. Since I reside in the same building, I am available most of the time for just a chat or to assist my guests in finding their way through our beautiful city.

Starting at the foyer, the “Grand Tour” extends over two floors:

  • The Maison Grand Tour offers romantic suites for two to three persons & a large family apartment. Each suite has its own private bathroom, as well as doors and windows that open to a plant-filled patio – away from the street noise.
  • The Relais Grand Tour on the second floor features a Double room and a family suite for up to four persons. The suite consists of two bedrooms that can be used as a standard double (2nd room licked off) with a private bathroom or as a family suite featuring two doubles with one large bathroom. And last not least a Double/Single Room with two single beds. Perfect for a single traveler or a couple with also an ensuite bathroom of course.

B&B with authentic style and atmosphere

Relais Grand Tour

The ambiance is that of an elegant Florentine house. It features original flooring, dating back to the 18th century; handcrafted lamps, which emanate a smooth light and the soft elegance of the rooms, furnished with antiques, family paintings, terracotta, and ornamented ceilings. Here you can find authentic and original features and allow yourself to experience an unforgettable stay.

The interior of the building has been restored and modernized with gentle care while many traces of its eventful past have been preserved like gold embellishments on the ceilings, traces of frescos on the walls, or a fountain dating from the 16th century that decorates the plant-filled patio. Among other things, a small private theatre dated from the 18th century was discovered and has now been turned into a large apartment for our guests or event space on occasion.

I live in the house myself which makes it easy for you to meet me and ask for tips regarding restaurants, museums, hiking tours, wine tastings, and sights - your built-in concierge service. I know Florence well and am happy to help you experience this historic city as memorable as possible. I can tell you many stories about hidden art treasures, the most beautiful churches in Florence, romantic walks across the Ponte Vecchio, or along the river as well as many other treasures within this unique treasure chest.

Originally from Germany, I lived with my family for three decades in the USA and still call it home. As a teenager, my parents and I spent our family vacations in Tuscany – every Easter, Pentecost, and summer holidays. So we got to know and love the country, the people, the art, the food, the sun, and the sea. In acquiring this B&B in which I welcome you as my guests, a lifelong dream came true and I hope to make your stay in Florence as unforgettable as possible.
