Relais Grand Tour bed & breakfast offers a large suite called Golden Suite made up of 2 adjoining double rooms, located on the same floor where the owner lives (first floor, some stairs, no lift).
The Maison Grand Tour offers 3 large accommodations at the patio level (ground floor, no stairs): Gli Specchi (The Mirror Suite), L'Attore (the Actor Suite) and La Diva Suite. These suites are overlooking the patio level which is a perfect place to sit and meet the other guests or simply sip a glass of good Chianti wine and relax. The patio level is full of beautiful plants and flowers and open to the neighborhood backyard with their gardens and familiar sounds.
The rooms are named after their various purposes when the space was an actual theater...so much history and great stories these walls can tell.
Located on the first floor (few steps, no lift), this two-room Suite is perfect for a couple (1 room double occupancy) or up to a family of 4 (2 rooms), or for a small group of friends. One room hast the traditional Matrimonial bed (Queen size) & the other can have the same or two single beds.
Once the dressing room of the theatre: suitable for a couple or a single traveler. The antique mirrors together with some original frescoes on the walls, the original wood ceiling and the small 16th century fountain inside the spacious room create a magic atmosphere. The space is perfect for the ancient armoire where guests can store their belongings.
Suitable for two or three guests. This large room has a gorgeous Neapolitan double bed in black with mother of pearl inlays and flower decorations. The wood ceiling and the old marble sink tell stories of old days, and you will enjoy the beautiful bathroom decorated with hand-crafted majolicas in red and blue and a shower stall.
Suitable for two or three guests. This large sunny room hosts some family portraits of which one is a stage actress in the early 20th century...therefore the name of the suite. A double bed can be separated from the third bed area by a curtain. A couple of armchairs make for comfortable seating and a beautiful original 19th century wardrobe finishes the room.
Since the owner, Ulrike, lives in the same place you choose for your vacation in Florence, it's easy to meet her and ask for tips about restaurants, museums, walking tours, wine tastings, places to visit. She knows Florence well, and will be happy to make sure that you experience the city like a local. She can tell you about the hidden art treasures, the most beautiful churches of Florence, the romantic walks along Ponte Vecchio and other treasures.
Ulrike is originally from Germany, but lived for three decades with her family in the United States. Taking care of the guests at the B&B is a lifelong dream come true, and she will try make your stay as memorable as possible. She and her family used to spend their vacations in Tuscany every Easter & Summer growing up, and she feels blessed to be here, serving you."
